Technical

Accuracy varies by sensor type. Our standard thermocouples meet ANSI Standard and Special Limits accuracy. IEC 60584 Class 1 or 2 tolerances are also available. RTD sensors are available in Class A, Class B, 1/3 DIN, or 1/10 DIN tolerances. Custom tighter tolerances are available upon request.
Proper installation is critical for accurate readings. Ensure good thermal contact between the sensor and the medium being measured. For immersion sensors, the sensing element should be fully immersed in the medium. If you need help or advice, feel free to contact us.
Maximum temperature depends on the sensor type and sheath materials. Standard K-type thermocouples are rated to 1260°C, while Type B thermocouples can measure up to 1820°C. RTDs typically operate up to 600-850°C depending on the sheath material. High-temperature applications may require special construction materials like Inconel, ceramic, etc.
